People react in different ways to being involved in a serious car accident. For some, panic ensues, causing them to react in ways that some may find surprising. Unfortunately, many judgements are made about a person based on one's response to their involvement an accident. Police claim that a man in Colorado is now charged with vehicular homicide and several other charges after they say he caused a fatal crash.

The incident happened on a day in late August. Police have accused the 33-year-old man now facing criminal charges of driving recklessly on a Colorado highway in the moments preceding the accident; however, it is unclear what they believe he was doing or what led them to that conclusion. Unfortunately, the man is believed to have struck the rear of a motorcycle.

Reports say that the man continued driving, with the motorcycle wedged under his vehicle, until the car struck a concrete barrier. Police claim that the man then fled the scene, but he was taken into custody at a nearby gas station. In addition to the homicide charge, the man also faces charges of reckless driving and driving under the influence.

If convicted of the vehicular homicide and other charges against him, the Colorado man could face serious consequences. To help ensure that he understands all elements of the case against him as well as ensure that he is treated fairly throughout proceedings, he may decide to hire an experienced criminal defense attorney. Having such a person on his side will ensure that he is able to make informed decisions about the direction of his case.
